6:00-7:00pm (come early for refreshments)
Features a filmed interview with Delisa Mayer, a woman whose family took part in an ill-fated university study during her childhood.
The outcome of that study—which introduced a newborn chimpanzee into the family and asked them to raise it as a human child—shaped Mayer’s childhood and led to her parents’ divorce.
“Our family was very torn up by this,” says Mayer. “It was a hard thing to live through, and it’s one of the reasons I don’t often tell this story.”
During the program participants will discover key steps to help recover from the scars of past experiences.
